• Our History
  1. 1944

    Russell opens in Vancouver

    On June 12, Russell Food Equipment opens its doors, delivering a brand new Blakeslee potato peeler.

  2. 1979

    Condon Barr founded

    Condon Barr Food Equipment is established in Edmonton and becomes known across Western Canada for equipment selection and service.

  3. 1981

    Hendrix founded

    Hendrix is founded in Brockville, Ontario, where our head office remains today.

  4. 2002

    Growing in British Columbia

    Condon Barr adds a second location in Abbotsford, expanding its presence in the BC market.

  5. 2008

    Hendrix and Condon Barr merge

    The two companies combine and operate as Hendrix across most regions of Canada.

  6. 2011

    Longo joins Hendrix

    London, Ontario's Longo Food Service Equipment merges with Hendrix, bringing a strong reputation for customer service.

  7. 2015

    A new chapter for Russell

    The Russell family steps away, and the management team partners with Blue Point Capital Partners to grow the business.

  8. 2016

    Russell Hendrix is formed

    Russell Food Equipment and Hendrix merge, creating a national foodservice equipment and supply dealer.

  9. 2017

    Service in Quebec

    Russell Hendrix acquires Montreal-based Guitech Services, adding equipment service and parts support in Quebec.

  10. Today

    Coast to coast

    350+ Canadian employees, showrooms and distribution centres, supporting foodservice from design to delivery.
