This strainer is a very good size for draining pasta. Both the handle and the mesh basket are much sturdier than they appear in the picture. I am very happy with this purchase.

I got this to strain my rice before cooking. The double mesh holds it all in. It seemed to drain better than my single mesh strainer, and it also drys quickly.
