Bun pans are also called sheet pans or baking sheets - flat sheets of metal with four edges designed for use in the oven.

What are bun pans used for?

Bun pans are designed for baking in ovens, yes, to bake buns but also cookies, toasting nuts, roasting vegetables, and cooking bacon. However, bun pans can be used for many other tasks including prepping, freezing, and storing.

How big is a bun pan?

Professional bun pans come in several standard sizes - Full size, 2/3 size, 1/2 Size, 1/4 Size, and 1/8 Size. The largest, a full size is 18" x 26" to fit into commercial ovens. The smallest, 1/8 size is 6.5" x 9.5".

Can you use a bun pan for more than baking?

Absolutely! Bun pans can be used for individually freezing fruits and vegetables before transferring to a sealed container, prepping sandwiches to be easily moved to the fridge, or even storing and moving ingredients around the kitchen.
